Favored Free Republic posters become moderators

JUST WHAT would happen if Free Republic's much criticized
moderators handed over the reins to ordinary posters? Well, thanks
to our investigators, you can judge for yourselves. In a bizarre
experiment last year, members of the elite FR Advisory Board were
invited to become "Moderators By Proxy".
Instead of blindly banning posters and zapping threads
willy nilly as they usually do, mods instead asked FAB members to
tell them how to handle the situation. The results are interesting
and often led to bickering and in-fighting between the posters.
We are exclusively sharing the secret experiment with
our readers by releasing threads obtained by FRS investigators.
